How did we grow apart?

From around the destruction of the Temple Jewish and Gentile believers grew apart. The Council of Nicea in 325 CE decided to be independent from the Jewish calendar and to have Easter worldwide on the same date. This was one of the final steps to separate Christianity from her Jewish beginnings.
